The Secret To A Long Healthy Life!

Being a member of the nutrition community can be difficult for a whole host of reasons. People are always asking me to make diet plans for them, people tell me crazy things they heard from their friend's brother's sister, there's fad diets, so much misinformation floating around and the judgement that inevitably comes when I order carbs at lunch with friends.
Everyone is looking for the big secret to being young, healthy and fit and I'm going to break the nutrition code by telling you all what it is. Are you ready.... really ready? Ok here goes... drink lots of water, get good sleep, eat healthy balanced mostly plant based meals and exercise most days of the week.
I know, not what you wanted to hear. You wanted me to tell you there's a berry from somewhere tropical that keeps you from againg and gives you an ass like J-Lo who seems to be aging in reverse. If you're like me you hate admitting when your mother is right but the truth is more along the lines of what we have been hearing our whole lives. You're going to have to eat well and exercise most of the time.
The good news is that eating well makes you feel good and tastes great. I know it's hard to believe people actually love kale but I do, I really really do. I am a kale pusher and will continue to promote my kale propaganda until the day I die. Just try to encorporate one new fruit or vegetable into your routine a week and pretty soon you'll be converted. Even if you aren't, you're still eating them and that makes me happy.
Once you find a form of exercise you love you will actually start to crave it. At first it's awful. Your body hurts, your lungs are burning and you dread having to use the bathroom because trying to sit down makes you just want to die. Then your body gets used to it and you start seeing results so you come around to the torture you put yourself through a few days a week. Six months later you look and feel amazing, everyone is asking you what your secret is and you crave your now almost daily workouts.
I promise if you start taking better care of yourself you will both look and feel amazing. So amazing in fact that you will now be in the club of those with the magic secret. You are free to share this secret with people but chances are they won't believe you and will still continue asking, "but really... what's your secret?"
