These are for sure on the naughty list but they are delicious. Just have two and run some stairs or something.

Ingredients:

  • 12-18 jalapeño peppers, cut in half and seeded

  • 2 packages cream cheese, room temperature

  • 1 or 2 packages of bacon

  • 1/4 C sun dried tomatoes, chopped

  • 1/2 C cilantro, chopped

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • S & P (easy on the S)

Directions:

  1. Soak toothpicks in water for about 20 minutes.

  2. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.

  3. In a bowl combine cream cheese, tomato, cilantro, garlic and S & P. Mush it up real good.

  4. Fill each jalapeño 1/2 with cream cheese mixture.

  5. Wrap 1/2 a slice (or a whole slice… no judgement) of bacon around the pepper and secure with a toothpick.

  6. Put a baking rack on a cookie sheet so the fat drips off the bacon. Place the peppers about 1/2″ apart so they don’t touch.

  7. Cook for about 45 minutes or until bacon is fully cooked.

  8. Serve warm.

These bad boys go fast so make sure you grab one before you set them out. Don’t forget to warn your friends about the toothpicks. Game day sure gets ruined if you have to take a trip to urgent care.
