Irish Soda Bread

Ingredients:
2 C AP flour
2 tbls brown sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
12 tsp salt
3 tbls butter
2 eggs
3/4 C buttermilk
1/3 C raisins
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Lightly grease a baking sheet.
In a large bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Cut in butter until crumbly.
In a small bow, whisk 1 egg and buttermilk.
Stir into flour mixture just until moistened.
Fold in raisins.
Knead on a floured surface for 1 minute.
Shape into a round loaf and place on prepared baking sheet.
Cut a 1/4 inch deep “X” in top of loaf.
Beat remaining egg and brush over loaf.
Bake for 30-35 mins or until golden brown.
