This was my first attempt at fudge and I must say it turned out pretty darn good. I was given some as a gift over the holidays and thought, “How hard can this be to make?” I looked up a couple of recipes and this is what I came up with. Hope you enjoy.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 C sugar

  • 1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk

  • 2 tbls butter

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 2 cups chopped walnuts

  • 1 2/3 C Dark Chocolate Morsels

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:

  1. Line a 8″ x 8″ pan with foil.

  2. Combine butter, sugar, sweetened condensed milk and salt in a pan on medium heat stirring constantly until it’s at a rolling boil. Keep stirring for 4 or 5 minutes and then remove from heat.

  3. Stir in chocolate chips, cinnamon, walnuts and vanilla. Pour into prepared pan.

  4. Refrigerate for about 2 hours, or until firm.

  5. Cut into pieces and serve.

If you want to add something different or make a plain fudge just omit the cinnamon and walnuts and create your own dessert.
