Ingredients:

  • 4 1/2 cups fresh blueberries

  • 3 cups fresh peaches (sliced and pealed)

  • 1 1/2 packages fruit pectin

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • 10 1/2 cups sugar

Directions:

  1. Crush blueberries and put into a medium sauce pan. I used the blender and it worked great.

  2. Cut the peaches into chunks and throw them in the blender too. Add to the blueberries

  3. Mix in the fruit pectin and cinnamon and cook over high heat until mixture comes to a boil, stirring constantly.

  4. Add the sugar all at once, bring to a full boil and boil hard for 1 minutes, stirring constantly.

  5. Remove from the heat. Skim and stir to remove foam.

  6. Ladle into hot sterilized jars and seal.

I know it’s a lot of sugar but you’re only going to eat a little jam at a time so it’s ok. I made over 48 jars at once, before that I had never bought a 25 lbs. bag of sugar. This recipe makes 12 half-pints.
