If you’re a vegan, lactose intolerant, Paleo, or on a diet your options for frozen treats are a little limited. This is a great healthy alternative that can be as simple or elaborate as you wish. Whipping a frozen banana gives it the creamy texture of ice cream without any of the bad stuff. If you like bananas and ice cream this is your lucky day.

Ingredients:

  • 3 bananas

  • peanut butter (optional)

  • coconut flakes (optional)

  • dark chocolate chip (optional)

  • chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:

  1. Slice bananas into 1/2″ slices and place on a place covered in plastic wrap.

  2. Freeze bananas for about 3 or 4 hours.

  3. Place banana slices into a food processor or blender and pulse on high for 3 to 5 minutes. You want it to be creamy, you’ll see when the texture turns from grainy to smooth.

  4. Add a little peanut butter, chopped nuts, coconut, dark chocolate chips or just eat it plain.

  5. Serve immediately.

That’s really all there is to it. You can have your fruit and eat it to! I hope you enjoy this simple healthy alternative to ice cream.
